Lexical All groups
The more words you know, the easier it is to express your thoughts,
feelings, and ideas. But improving your English vocabulary is not that simple.
Let’s try to learn words having grouped them according to some characteristics.
Antonym is a
word opposite in meaning to another
Synonym is a
word having the same or nearly the same meaning as another word or other words
in a language
Homophone
is a word that is pronounced the same as another word but differs in
meaning, and may differ in spelling.

Find
mistakes and correct them 31, 43 groups
I hope you remember that during our last lesson you
were working on a little unusual task. You had to write a short essay using
some guidance and samples. I have checked your essays and must admit that about
90% of students coped with the task very well. In your works there are all
necessary paragraphs and linking words, the topics are well covered but there
are some grammar mistakes. Look for mistakes or errors, correct them and write
your variant of the sentence.
Let’s see if you can find and correct them.
You needn't correct all the sentences! Two or three
will be enough. Skip the sentences you don’t want to correct. Use the special
form for giving your answers.

видавництва Macmillan провели ще один вебінар "Як
підготувати учнів до ДПА та ЗНО. Частина 1. Читання" під час якого
презентатор Інна Нестоїтер (методист видавництва "Макміллан", вчитель
вищої категорії, вчитель-методист) надала корисні поради вчителям, що готують
учнів до складання ЗНО та ДПА, щодо підготовки учнів до виконання завдань з
читання. Презентація
вправ для відпрацювання навичок читання базувалась на підручниках видавництва
«Макміллан» серії Gateway, але стане у пригоді і вчителям, які працюють за
іншими підручниками.
Сподіваюсь,
видавництво "Макміллан" і надалі буде проводити такі вебінари та очні
семінари, допомагаючи вчителям покращити свою роботу, та знайомлячи їх з
новинками свого видавництва.

How to write an essay
Hello students! I know that you are often asked to write an essay in Ukrainian, Russian or English. Topics of essays can be different as well as types of writing, that’s why today I’d like to summarize what types of essays exist and what the common principles of their writing are.Let’s start with the definition:
An essay is a piece of writing, usually from an author's personal point of view. Essays are non-fictional but often subjective; while expository, they can also include narrative. Essays can be literary criticism, political manifestos, and learned arguments, observations of daily life, recollections, and reflections of the author.

give a hint for those who want to practice a little and revise some grammar
material before the test. As usual, there will be some task on "mixed
tenses and voices". Also you will have to work on conditional sentences
(not mixed, just pure I, II and III), modal verbs, asking questions, tasks on
use of English. If you have some free time to practice I recommend you such
