27 січня 2016 року відбувся черговий вебінар видавництва Macmillan "Get Set for Success Special"

Цей вебінар був особливим, оскільки тривав декілька годин і був розділений на дві однакові за темами, але різні за викладенням сесії. Цього разу презентатори зосередились не на продукції видавництва, а саме на методиці викладання, що було надзвичайно цікаво та корисно. Бажаючі могли задати свої питання, зокрема мені пощастило отримати відповідь на моє :) Всі бажаючі можуть передивитися цей вебінар, скориставшись архівом видавництва. Особливо рекомендую першу частину, представлену Rob Metcalf хоча і інші частини також цікаві!

Епідемічна ситуація з грипу та ГРВІ в країні залишається напруженою. Станом на 25 січня навчання призупинено у 10551 загальноосвітньому навчальному закладі. Такі дані наводить Державна санітарно-епідеміологічна служба України, передає прес-служба уряду.

"Станом на 25 січня навчання залишається призупиненим в 10551 загальноосвітньому навчальному закладі, дитячому навчальному та інших закладах", - сказано в повідомленні. Наголошується, що 25 січня в Україні було зафіксовано 85,5 тис звернень за медичною допомогою через грип та гострі респіраторні вірусні інфекції, 40,2 тис звернень стосувалися дітей. У результаті були госпіталізовані 3 445 осіб, з них - 1661 дитина.

На сьогоднішній день обмежувальні заходи введені в усіх регіонах України. Найвища захворюваність зареєстрована у Дніпропетровській, Київській, Запорізькій, Львівській областях та Києві. З початку епідсезону, з 28 вересня минулого року, на ГРВІ та грип в Україні перехворіли 2 936 734 людини.

Unfortunately we don't have any big museum or gallery right here, in our town, but nowadays due to modern technologies we can take a virtual tour and watch famous paintings in the smallest details using 360-degree interactive map of the gallery.

People always want to know about the future. They wonder what future will look like, how people will live, what they will wear, eat, listen to. Let's try to make a travel "back to the future". 

In 1967, the most trusted man in America investigated the home of the 21st century. Legendary news anchor Walter Cronkite’s regular half-hour CBS documentary program “The 21st Century” was a glorious peek into the future. Every Sunday night viewers of the late 1960s were shown all the exciting technological advancements they could expect to see just 30 or 40 years down the road. The March 12, 1967 episode gave people a look at the home of the 21st century, complete with 3D television, molded on-demand serving dishes, videophones, inflatable furniture, satellite newspaper delivery and robot servants.

1) Watch those videos and make a list of technologies mentioned in the movie.

2) Divide them into two groups: correct and wrong guesses made by the creators of the program.

Це була чудова нагода почути про всі новинки, які видавництво підготувало для вчителів у 2016 році: нові ресурси, конкурси, нові та оновлені курси! Цього разу вебінар був міжнародним, отже всі учасники мали нагоду поспілкуватися і обговорити проблеми, притаманні системі освіти в їх країнах, послухати англомовних доповідачів та задати їм свої питання щодо використання підручників видавництва.
