It's time to start our Best PowerPoint Presentation Contest. The subject of the contest is The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, its culture, famous people and sights, history and traditions etc. In other words -  anything interesting about the UK. You can make individual or group projects, as you want. After all works are uploaded here - we will start voting.

For now - look at the special page with the projects, choose the one that is THE MOST INTERESTING, THE MOST GOODLOOKING, THE MOST ORIGINAL. Make your choice, remember the number of the presentation that you like and VOTE a bit later. Hope you will enjoy your group mates works!

You have already had some tasks on Participle forms and even a self work on this material. But this rule is rather complicated, so you need more practice on it. Here is a form for filling in, a kind of home test for you. I think it's better to do this task at home than to have a self-work during a lesson. If you are not confident about Participles you may use the previous post and its grammar articles and tests to practice before doing the main task.

18 лютого 2016 року відбулась вікторина з англійської мови "У світі музики та літератури". Планувалось, що вікторину буде проведено між командами 12 та 13 групи, але оскільки 13 група не з'явилась, їй було зараховано поразку і змагання пройшло між командами дівчат і хлопців 12 групи.

У запеклій боротьбі перемогла команда дівчат з перевагою у 2 бали, але хлопці теж показали гарні знання англійської мови, англомовної літератури та музики.

Вітаю обидві команди!!!

В середу, 17 лютого 2016 у Славутицькому ліцеї відбулася шоста Всеукраїнська гра з англійської мови «PUZZLE». Шість учнів 9-10 класів виявили бажання взяти участь. Сподіваюсь, завдання були цікавими і не дуже складними та сподобались вам!

З нетерпінням будемо очікувати результатів, сподіваючись на високі бали!

Нагадую, що видавництво «Макміллан Паблішерз Лімітед» (Велика Британія) розробило онлайн-тестування з англійської мови для учнів 10-11 класів загальноосвітніх шкіл України з метою перевірки рівня володіння англійською мовою відповідно до Загальноєвропейських рекомендацій з мовної освіти (рівень В1) та підготовки до ДПА з англійської мови.

Це онлайн тестування з англійської мови проводиться безкоштовно в період з 16 лютого по 16 березня 2016 року в усіх регіонах України.

Для участі необхідно зареєструватися на www.macmillanukraine.com у розділі «Тестування».

16 лютого 2016 року представник видавництва «Макміллан» Інна Нестоїтер (методист видавництва «Макміллан», вчитель вищої категорії, вчитель-методист) провела для вчителів України вебінар за темою «Особливості підготовки до ДПА у 2016 році» під час якого ознайомила учасників з типами завдань ДПА 2016 та надала корисні рекомендації щодо їх виконання. 

Раджу не тільки вчителям, а й учням уважно ознайомитись з методичними рекомендаціями, щодо підготовки до ДПА-2016 (поради саме щодо ДПА починаються приблизно з 12-ї хвилини)

В рамках місячника суспільно-гуманітарних дисциплін 16 лютого 2016 року  для учнів 31 та 32 груп було проведено вікторину «Європейський калейдоскоп» під час якої учні продемонстрували свої знання традицій європейських країн, цікавих фактів про їх промисловість та визначні місця. За результатами гри перемогла 31 група, але 32 боролась гідно, до того ж у меншому складі. 
Всі учні, вболівальники та команди окремо отримали Сертифікати учасника. Гра пройшла у дружній та веселій атмосфері. Дякуємо всім учасникам, вболівальникам, ведучим та шановному журі!

For the next lesson you have a bit unusual home assignment. As we have been talking about music and musical instruments since the beginning of the semester, now it's time to get the first results of your work. This task is a home part of your credit (or test work).
Hope you remember the task - you have to describe the show or a concert you have been to. As we live in a small town and not often get the chance to visit some concert it may be difficult for you to describe the one. That's why I offer you some videos for description.
