Отже, це сталося! Урочисте відкриття XXIV Міжнародного фестивалю дитячої демократії, телебачення, преси та творчості "Золота осінь Славутича" відбулося сьогодні, 22 вересня 2017 року. У цьому році Славутич приймає гостей з України, Латвії, Білорусі, Німеччини, Польщі та Японії. Учні ліцею, і зокрема 23 групи, активно долучилися до церемонії відкриття та інших заходів, що були проведені сьогодні.

22 вересня 2017 року мені пощастило попрацювати перекладачем для наших латвійських гостей під час зустрічі у рамках роботи XXIV Міжнародного фестивалю дитячої демократії, телебачення, преси та творчості «Золота осінь Славутича – 2017», яка відбулася у залі засідань виконавчого комітету Славутицької міської ради. Ліцеїсти презентували англійською мовою свої науково-дослідницькі роботи історико-краєзнавчого та фізико-астрономічного спрямування для учасників  латвійсько-українського освітнього проекту.

During our last lesson we were working on some grammar material and practiced using two forms of adjectives, I mean – ed/ing adjectives. There are many adjectives that we have in English that end in –ED or -ING. An adjective that ends in –ING is used to describe: the characteristic of a person, a thing or a situation. An adjective that ends in –ED is used to describe a feeling (or how a person feels) or an emotion. It is used to describe a temporary thing. Since only people (and some animals) have feelings, -ed adjectives cannot be used to describe an object or situation.
