April – Respect

1) This month was devoted to Respect. To plan our work we needed to understand whom and what we should respect. So, we created a survey and asked our partners to write their ideas on the Answergarden.com platform to help all of us plan our common further work.

Whom to respect?

2)  Our town is a satelite-town of Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant which is about only 60 km away. Every year on April 26 we show our respect to those who saved our world from a Radioactive Disaster, who lost their lives for the next generations.

3) Animals were in the list of things to respect on Answergarden collaborative cloud. We decided to make a display of photos with our pets - cats and dogs that pupils took home from the streets to take care of and to play with. Also we decided to vote for the funniest and cutest ones

4) At the beginning of April, we decided to show our respect for nature in a very sensitive way - we decided to plant some more trees and bushes around our Lyceum. It was fun! It was so nice to see all of them green and in blossom a bit later.

5) To show more respect for Nature our team organized volunteer cleaning of the nearest forest which is very popular with our people for picnics. Our local authorities gave us the necessary equipment and a truck for garbage. 

6) According to the survey - the most respectful things for our pupils are their families, parents, and relatives. We created a little display with photos of pupils' and teachers' families and told short stories about them.

7) We respect culture of other countries. This month we prepared information about France

8) We respect our traditions, things which come from the old times of our country that's why we told pupils about the history and different types of traditional Ukrainian embroidered shirts. Also, pupils and teachers took part in a beautiful flash mob!
